Practice Description:

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Art Therapist (LAT) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR) offering mental health counseling to youth ages 8-18 and individual adults. I use a combination of talk therapy, art therapy and a focused mindfulness trauma treatment approach called Brainspotting. The modality used in session is dependent on your goals, preference and comfort level. You do not need to have any artistic experience or skill level to benefit from art therapy or experience in mindfulness to benefit from Brainspotting! Both offer alternatives to traditional talk therapy, with the benefit of facilitating expression, accessing deeper material in processing and resolving trauma.

I believe that art therapy helps individuals to access their strengths in order to safely explore current problems and future directions. I use art therapy as part of the assessment and treatment process, creating interventions that address the goals in your treatment plan. Most importantly, as an art therapist I believe that the creative process improves emotional well-being, and promotes health and healing.
